PSAT Info and Family Tree Project Clarification

As 11th graders, you can register to take the PSAT, which will be given on October 13th. The fee to register is $13. However, if you are on free/reduced lunch you can register for free. Registration will take place during lunch in the cafeteria in the teacher's lounge with Ms. Abesada or Ms. Sierra. You must register by September 21st. I also have been given some copies of the registration form so you can ask me for a form and you can turn it in during lunch.
This is good practice for the actual SAT test.

Family Tree Clarification:
1. Some of you have asked about the question you have to answer regarding the story "The Way to Rainy Mountain." If you want to include your answer at the top of your memoir that is fine. Just make sure it is clear that you are answering that question and separate it from your memoir.
2. When presenting your family tree you do not have to share your memoir or interview of a relative. However, I will ask you how your parents met and if they were not born in the United States how they got here. If you discover any famous relatives I would also like you to include that in your presentation. For example, last year students had family members that were members of the goverment or had invented things, etc.
3. Your Family Tree does not have to look like a tree. You can be creative in how you present it.
