Period 4 Project

            To close our unit on the Anglo-Saxons and Beowulf you will be picking one of the following projects and completing it on your own by September 19th.               

             1.  Create a diorama of a scene from Beowulf.  Make sure on the back or bottom you include a description of what your scene is showing and how it reflects the EPIC tradition.

             2.  Wiglaf was the only Geat soldier to stay by Beowulf’s side.  Write an EPIC poem or story based on his life.  (Poem should be 30-40 lines or the story should be 2 pages.) Both options must be typed.

             3.  Write a journal from the point of view of someone who was alive during the time of Beowulf.  Your journal should contain at least 5 entries including details of events that took place during the story of Beowulf.  Must be typed.

           

              If you have any other creative ideas or you would like to work with a partner please make sure to come and speak to me first before you start working on it.

              **Students in my other periods (periods 1,2,3,5,6): If you would like to complete one of these projects for extra credit you can.  Please come and see me first.
